Stepping Stones chairperson reports on good year!

October 2, 2018

2018 has been another great year for Stepping Stones.

We celebrated our twenty-fifth anniversary last year, and continue to have successful fund-raising events, which members have enjoyed. We now have significant, new funding from the West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (WDHSCP), and continue to look for further funding to broaden and deepen our range of services. We are working to improve our service agreement with the Partnership to guarantee our funding longer term.

There has also been significant expansion in the support groups that we host and we have made significant progress in peer support. We have received some funding from the Pupil Equity Fund to explore the possibility of providing services in schools. We aim to secure further funding from this source in order to expand our services to young people in the years ahead.

With the new Clydebank Health & Social Care Centre coming online in 2020, our aim is to secure more central and convenient premises for Stepping Stones in Clydebank. We now provide services throughout West Dunbartonshire, so we also aim to provide a range of convenient premises in Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven. Our staff and volunteers continue to provide a magnificent service.

So finally, I would like to thank them all and also you, our members, for giving us all another great year of Stepping Stones to Wellness.
